It is not necessary to remove the elbow
fitting (4) located on the rod-end of the lift

10. Disconnect the check valve (1) and the two
adapters (2) from the elbow fitting on the rod-end
(A) of the lift hydraulic cylinder. Set aside parts
for future use.

fitting (4) on the rod-end of the lift hydraulic
cylinder (5).
12. Wipe away any excess hydraulic fluid from the
planter.
13. Repeat steps 9 through 12 on the outer right-side
hydraulic lift cylinder.
14. Once you have removed the two check valves,

High Pressure Fluid Hazard
Escaping fluid under pressure can have
sufficient pressure to penetrate the skin. Use
care to not cut, pinch, or otherwise damage
hydraulic lines and fittings while completing
tasks in this area. If injured, seek immediate
medical attention from a physician familiar with
this type of injury.
Secure Machine
It is necessary for the shipping chain or strap
securing the wings to the tongue to remain in
place until the planter has been unloaded from
the trailer. Do not attempt to unfold the planter
when the shipping chain is installed. The
shipping chain or strap should not secure any
part of the planter to the trailer. Failure to keep
shipping chain or strap secured during
unloading can result in the planter becoming
unbalanced. A falling planter can cause severe
injury or death.
1. Carefully remove the shipping or strap binding
the left-and-right wings to the tongue.
Close-Out
Ensure all moving parts are moving freely, bolts are
tighten to torque, and cotter pins are spread.
