Play/Sync, Mark/Edit and Program/Preview Keys
The Play, Mark and Program keys
,
and
on the panel have the following
functions:
Key(s)
Description
PLAY
Start playback at 100% on the selected camera and channel.
If in
PGM/PRV
mode, this applies to the
PGM
channel.
FUNC+PLAY
Start playback on the selected camera and channel at the speed specified in
the FUNC + PLAY Speed field in User Settings. See
page 156 for more information.
SYNC
Toggle synchronization (sync) on or off.
Allows control of both channels together with play, jog, shuttle, and T-bar.
When sync is on, the Sync icon is active both on the panel:

key is lit green.
MARK
Add an event mark to camera or feed.
Press
in a clip to enter edit mode and modify the in and out points on the
selected clip.
PGM/PRV
Toggle between program/program (
PGM/PGM
) and program/preview (
PGM/
PRV
) modes.
CYCLE
Cycle between the play-out channels:
PGM/PGM
and
PGM/PRV
.
In addition:

Locks and unlocks a playout port to prevent actions on
the T-bar, Jog wheel,
, or
keys from
accidentally
disturbing the play-out on that port.
