Kayak HD — Installation and Service Manual
Section 2 — Installation
Cabling Overview
The Kayak HD system uses Ethernet, serial, and USB connections. Tally
and GPI I/O (General Purpose Interface Input/Output) control are also
available. A simple Kayak HD system consisting of a Control Panel and
Video Processor frame does not require connection to an external Ethernet
Local Area Network (LAN). The video processor frame incorporates an
Ethernet switch for this purpose.
There are two AC power supply inputs to the frame. If the redundant
power supply option is installed, power can be provided by one or both
line cords to two different AC circuits.
