Version Mismatch Button Test
There are cases where the
Control Panel
software has been upgraded and the
Frame
has not. This can result in a version mismatch between the Frame and
the Control Panel. If this is the case, the Control Panel will not fully boot
(for example you may see a blank, white, or blue (empty) screen).
It is possible to force the Control Panel to display the
Device Control
menu
during the boot process. If the Frame is missing from the Device Control
menu, it is possible that there is a version mismatch.
To force the Control Panel to the Device Control menu, complete the fol-
lowing steps:
1.
During the boot process, the
Home
and
User 4
(see Figure 106 ) buttons
will begin to flash. Immediately after the first flash, press and hold both
buttons and continue to hold them down until the Device Control
menu is displayed.

2. Examine the devices on the left in the
Device Control
menu to see if the
Frame is present. If the Frame is not present, there may be a version
mismatch.
3. Either upgrade the frame to the same software version as the Control
Panel or downgrade the panel to the previous version. See
Version 6.9.3
or later, Kayak HD Release Notes for information on updating the
software.
4. Reboot the system.
