Applying Power
The Crystal can operate standalone using the built-in, re-chargeable battery or on AC
power using the AC adapter.
To operate the unit on AC power; Plug the AC adaptor into a suitable power socket and
insert the small power connector into the DC5V socket (15) on the rear of the unit.
Do not operate the Crystal Media Player on mains power if the battery is
completely flat.
Allow 2 minutes of charging before operating the unit.
When operating on battery, ensure that the battery is charged before use (see page 2).
Slide the on/off switch (16) to the right to turn on, the alphanumerical display (3) will
illuminate.
Do not fast-cycle the power, always allow 5 seconds between turning the Crystal off
and turning on again.
Operation (MP3 Playback)
Once power is applied to the unit, insert a memory stick or SD card containing mp3 files
into the appropriate slot on the top of the unit.
The Crystal will automatically play the mp3 files as soon as the SD card/USB drive is
inserted.
If a second device is inserted during playback, the Crystal will play the newly inserted
device. If an SD Card and a USB Flash Drive are inserted you can select the device to
play back by pressing the FM/Flash select button (10).
Set the volume control (14) to a comfortable listening level. NOTE: During mp3
playback the volume can be increased further by pressing and holding the track forward
button (5). Once set, the crystal retains the value.
