switch off. Wait for a short moment until the unit has cooled down. Fill the unit
with water and continue as usual.
CLEANING OUTSIDE
CAUTION
Watch the following safety instructions before starting to clean the unit:
• Switch the unit off before cleaning and pull the power cord from the electric
socket.
• Let the unit cool down before cleaning.
• Do not use any aggressive or abrasive detergents and no solvents.
• Do not scratch off stubborn soiling with hard objects.
• Do not put the unit or the base station into the dishwasher and do not hold
under running water either.
Use a soft and moist cloth to clean the outer surfaces of the unit. Use a mild deter-
gent in case of heavy soiling.
DECALCIFYING / INSIDE CLEANING
Depending on the degree of hardness of the water in your region, lime deposits
will develop at the bottom and on the inside wall of the stainless steel container
from time to time. The harder the water, the faster limit deposits will develop. This
is harmless, although it could affect the performance of the unit.
Do not wait for too long as otherwise too much lime will develop, and a
descaling agent is no longer effective. Such a self-induced defect is not cov-
ered by warranty!
If you regularly decalcify the unit, this will increase the service life of your unit.
For decalcifying, exclusively use Graef descaling tablets which are matched to our
units. The descaling tablets are available in our online shop haushalt.graef.de/shop
under article No. 145618. Moreover, water also causes soiling on the inside of the
container, which can also be removed by regular descaling.
Process:
• Fill the unit three quarters with water.
• Boil up.
•
After completing the boiling process, put in the descaling tablet.
Note:
Do not boil this mixture.
• Let the mixture rest during the night.
•
Empty the unit, and rinse it several times with tap water.
