ASHDOWN
O
PERATION
To operate the washdown, attach the washdown hose to the outlet fitting located under the port
gunwale, open the seacock located on port side of the aft rigging compartment and place the
washdown switch at the helm in the “ON” position. The washdown system will now be pressur-
ized. The washdown hose has a spray nozzle attached, which may be used intermittently without
turning the switch “off”, basically the same as a residential water hose. The washdown pump has
an internal pressurization switch that will maintain water pressure as needed until the switch is
turned “off” at the switch panel.

Boats that are equipped with two batteries have a battery select switch to indicate which bat-
tery will be used. The switch is labeled battery “1” , battery “2” , “Both” and “Off”. In normal use
alternate between the battery “1” and battery “2” positions. The battery that is selected will pro-
vide power to the engine and accessories. In an emergency situation when neither battery will start
the engine, the select switch allows you to combine the power of both batteries by selecting
“Both”. However, once the engine is started, you should return the switch to the #1 or #2 position.
See

Never turn the battery select switch to the “OFF” position with
the engine running or the charging system could be damaged.
