Reattach the battery cover.

Although the thermometer works when “ ” appears,
we still recommend that you change the battery to
obtain an accurate result.
Remove the battery if stored for a long period of time.
The battery should be kept out of reach of children. if
they are swallowed, promptly see a doctor for help.
