5-A Securing Child 5-Point Harness

WARNING! In cold weather, do not put snowsuits or

bulky garments on your child when placing them in

the car seat.

Bulky clothing can prevent the harness straps

from being tightened properly. To keep child warm, buckle

your child in the car seat and place a blanket around the child

or place the child’s coat on backwards after buckling in.

When securely installed in the vehicle in rear-

facing mode the car seat can be rotated to face

the door to easily secure and remove your child.
When installed in the vehicle in forward-facing

mode the car seat CANNOT be rotated.
Before securing your child, make sure the car

seat is firmly installed, and the vehicle is not in

motion.
