Vehicle Seat Belt Terms

Retractor

A device that winds up

the unused vehicle seat

belt. It is often hidden

inside the panels on the

walls of the vehicle or in

the vehicle seat back.

Seat Bight

The crease where the vehicle

seat back and seat bottom meet.

Identify Your Seat Belt Type

There are two different types of vehicle seat belts that can be

used with this base:

Lap/Shoulder Seat Belt

3 connections points.

Lap Only Seat Belt

2 connection points.

Latch Plate

The male end of the

seat belt with the silver

tongue.
