Connect Input/Output (I/O) Signals
Connect the isolation cabinet to system components to
send and receive automatic signals. See
Overview
,
page 3.
Connect PTI Signals
Connect a 5/32 in. air line signal from the applicator’s
paint trigger signal to the PTI bulkhead fitting (L) on the
side of the isolation cabinet. See F
. 6.
1. Tap into the paint trigger air line going to the spray
gun.
2. Run a 5/32 in. air line from the spray gun's paint
trigger line to the isolation cabinet.
3. Plug the 5/32 in. air line into the PTI bulkhead fitting
(L) on the right side of the system.
Connect ERI and EEO Signals
Choose either
pneumatic
or
electric
communication
for electrostatic operation signals (ERI and EEO).
Pneumatic ERI and EEO Option
1. Connect a 5/32 in. air line from the EEO bulkhead
fitting (J) to the input of the device that activates
electrostatics.
2. Connect a 5/32 in. air line to the ERI bulkhead
fitting (K). Supply air pressure above 70 psi (0.5
MPa, 5.0 bar) to activate the input.
Electric ERI Option
1. Run a 24 VDC signal wire and a ground wire
through the I/O strain relief ports on the right side of
the system.
2. Feed the wires through the top right opening in the
electronics control panel.
3. Connect the 24 VDC signal wire to A1+ of the ERI
optocoupler (A).
4. Connect the ground wire to A2– of the ERI
optocoupler (A). Apply 24 VDC to A1+ to activate
the input. See system manual for grounding
instructions.
