Use the token to load software to the Graco Control
Architecture Module before use. Follow all direc-
tions and warnings in this manual and your system
repair/parts manual.

Upgrade token part numbers can be found in the
system manual.
NOTE:
Install software on the primary display of the sys-
tem. All software may be able to be updated from the
display, depending on system software and module
series. See system manual for availability of this feature.
•
Upgrade all modules in the system to the software
version on the token, even if you are replacing only
one or two modules. Different software versions
may not be compatible.
•
All data in the module may be reset to factory
default settings.
Record all settings and user pref-
erences before the upgrade, for ease of restoring
them following the upgrade.
•
The latest software version for each system can be
found at www.graco.com.
Supply Power to Module
Supply electrical power to the Graco Control Architec-
ture module using either system power or Power Supply
Kit 24F672, available separately.
Software Upgrade
Instructions
Follow these instructions to upgrade the software in all
of the Graco Control Architecture Modules. Reference
illustrations of each module starting on page 6.
1.
Remove power from the Graco Control Architecture
Module by turning off system power or unplugging
the Power Supply Kit 24F672 (available separately).
2.
Remove access cover (C).
NOTE:
For cube modules, the cover is removed by
pressing in the two tabs. For other modules, one or
more screws (S) must be removed.
3.
Insert and press the token (T) firmly into the slot.
NOTE:
Token has no preferred orientation.
4.
Supply electrical power to the Graco Control Archi-
tecture Module using either system power or Power
Supply Kit 24F672 (available separately).
NOTE:
The Motor Control Module 257696, High Power
Temperature Control Module 255774, and the Low
Power Temperature Control Module 256270 do not
require power to the high voltage AC input.

The red indicator light (L) will flash while the soft-
ware is being loaded. When the software is com-
pletely loaded, the red light will turn off.
NOTE:
For the USB module only, when the red light
stops flashing, the green and orange indicator lights
adjacent to the USB connector will flash for several min-
utes while configurations are loaded. The software is
completely loaded when the red, green, and orange
indicator lights are off.

6.
Remove power from the Graco Control Architecture
Module by turning off system power or unplugging
the Power Supply Kit 24F672.
7.
Remove the token (T) from the slot.
8.
Reinstall the access cover and secure with screws
(S), if applicable.
To help prevent fire and explosion, do not connect,
download, or remove the token unless the unit is
removed from the hazardous (explosive atmo-
sphere) location.
NOTICE
To avoid damaging circuit board, wear a grounding
strap.
NOTICE
To prevent corrupting the software, do not remove
the token, turn off the system power, or disconnect
any modules until the status screen indicates that
updates are complete.
