5. Allow the raclette device to heat up for approximately
10 minutes without any little raclette pans or the fondue pot
before you use it. To do this, move the
On/Off switch
to the
1
position to switch on the device.
6. Set the temperature controller to the highest setting for 10
minutes. The
On/Off switch
and the control lamp on the
temperature controller will light up when the device is switched
on.
7. In the meantime, prepare the ingredients for your raclette. When
fi
lling up the little raclette
pans, take care to ensure that the food does not touch the heating elements of the raclette
device.
8. Insert the receptacle for the fondue pot into the recess in the
middle of the raclette grill plate and place the fondue pot into
the receptacle if you wish to use the fondue set. When you do
this, follow the instructions in the "Fondue" chapter.
9. As soon as the device has heated up, you can set the temperature to re
fl
ect your preferences.
You can now place the
fi
lled little raclette pans for baking into the tray for the little raclette
pans underneath the heating elements and grill vegetables or meat on the raclette grill plate.
10. You can use the wooden spatulas which are supplied to move the food in the little raclette
pans or on the raclette grill plate or scoop the cheese out of the little raclette pans.
11. After you have removed the little raclette pans from the raclette device, only place them on
a heat-resistant surface. Allow the little raclette pans to cool down before you put any new
ingredients in them.
12. If you no longer wish to use the device, switch it off by turning the
On/Off switch
to the
0
position. The
On/Off switch
and the control lamp on the temperature controller will go
out when the device is switched off. Then remove the plug from the mains socket.
13. Allow the device to cool down and then clean it (see the "Cleaning" chapter). Do not allow
any food residues to dry on.
