CAUTION!
■
Danger of scalding from steam escaping!
Never open the water tank cover when
the coffee machine is switched on. Do not pour any water into the water tank while
the coffee machine is hot! Hot steam or hot spray water may escape. Always switch
the device off
fi
rst and allow it to cool down before topping up the water.
■
Before you
fi
rst operate the device, make sure that the water tank cover is closed and
that the
fi
lter cover, the permanent
fi
lter and the
fi
lter holder are inserted correctly so
that the water can run through the coffee powder without any problems.

Making Coffee
CAUTION!
■
Danger of burns!
The hotplate, the permanent
fi
lter, the
fi
lter holder, the
fi
lter com-
partment and the
fi
lter cover are hot during the brewing process and immediately
afterwards. There may also be hot water inside the permanent
fi
lter and
fi
lter holder.
Only touch any of the parts once they have cooled down.
■
Danger of injury due to sharp blades!
Do not reach into the grinding mechanism
and do not insert any objects into the grinding mechanism! Never hold the blades
with bare hands.
• The device has overheating protection which prevents the device from being
switched on again directly after a brewing process for safety reasons. After
a brewing process, wait for a few minutes until the device has cooled down
before you start another brewing process.
• The
fi
lter holder (
10
) has a non-drip valve. The coffee jug (
8
) can also be re-
moved from the hotplate (
7
) during the brewing process. But beware: Place
the coffee jug (
8
) back on the hotplate (
7
) within 1 minute to prevent the
permanent
fi
lter (
11
) from over
fl
owing!
Using Coffee Powder
1. Insert the permanent
fi
lter (
11
) into the
fi
lter holder (
10

fi
lter

9
). Make sure that it
fi
ts correctly.
2. Pour in the quantity of coffee powder you want (generally one heaped teaspoonful
per cup).
3. Place the
fi
lter cover (
12
) on the permanent
fi
lter (
