CLEANING AND STORAGE
Please Note!
■
Used cooking oils and cooking fats
are not to be poured down the drain
and must be disposed of in the do-
mestic waste.
■
Never spray cold water onto the hot
grill plate during or immediately after
use. This could damage the non-stick
coating!
■
Do not spray cleaning agents directly
onto the device.
■
The device is
not
dishwasher-safe.
■
Do not use any caustic or abrasive
cleaning agents or abrasive sponges
to clean the device. These may dam-
age the surface.
Clean the device and accessories
immediately after each use to prevent
germ formation. Do not allow any food
residues to dry on.
1. Make sure that the device has been
disconnected from the mains power
and has cooled down completely!
2. Remove all food residues and empty
the fat collecting tray (

).
3. Clean the grill plate (

)
with a damp
cloth and a little detergent. Make sure
that no water gets into the thermostat
socket (
2
)!
4. If necessary, wipe down the thermo-
stat (
4
) with a soft, damp cloth.
5. Clean the fat collecting tray and the
frame (

) with warm water and a little
detergent if necessary.
6. Allow all parts to dry completely or
dry them with a tea towel before they
are assembled or stored away.
7. You should store the device in a cool
and dry place which is out of the
reach of children and animals.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not work properly,
check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself. If the problem cannot
be solved with the steps that are listed,
contact the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair an elec-
trical device yourself!
The device does not work.
The thermostat (

) is not connected
correctly to the thermostat socket (
2
).
The control lamp (

) does not light up.

Correct the fit of the thermostat.
The mains plug is not inserted correctly in
the plug socket.

Correct the fit of the mains plug.
The plug socket is defective.
►
Try another plug socket.
There is no mains voltage.
►
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
The fuse in the fuse box is triggered.
Too many devices connected to the same
circuit.
►
Reduce the number of devices in the
circuit.
During use, an unpleasant smell is
detected.
The device is being used for the fi rst time.
►
A smell often develops when new
devices are first used. The smell
should disappear once the device
has been used several times.
The device is dirty.
►
Clean the device.
