6.2 System monitor
In
monitor mode
it is possible to configure the system via a menu. To use the mon
-
itor mode you need to know which protocol is preset in your antenna.
6.2.1 How to start the monitor program
Depending on the currently active procedure, the monitor program is started differ
-
ently (refer to section 6.2.2.3 on page 32).
6.2.1.1 Procedure Monitor only
If the antenna is set to the procedure „Monitor only“, the monitor mode is started
10 s after switch on. In this case not files have to be transmitted and section 6.2.1.2
may be ignored.
6.2.1.2 Procedures 3964R/transparent
The command to switch to monitor mode should be entered directly via a PC. To do
so, start your terminal program. For the startup, a set of configuration files is neces
-
sary (small text files and HyperTerminal configuration files). These files are accessi
-
ble for download in the latest version from our internet server:
http://www.goetting-agv.com/components/transponderconf.
If HyperTerminal has been correctly installed, the terminal program can now be
started directly by double clicking the respective *.ht file (
Monitor9600.ht
for
9600 Baud and
Monitor19200.ht
for 19200 Baud). If necessary, adapt the COM-
port (refer to section 6.1.1).
