Connect the antenna to the RF in on the VCR and the RF out from the
VCR to the television
ANTENNA
socket. This means that you will be able
to record a programme while watching a different programme.
Connect the VCR Scart to
SCART 1
on the television. The the VCR signal
will appear when Scart 1 is selected by pressing the
VIDEO
button on the
remote control - you do not have to tune the television to the VCR signal.
Connect the DVD scart to
SCART 2
on the television. The the DVD signal
will appear when Scart 2 is selected by pressing the
VIDEO
button on the
remote control.
Connect the PC monitor cable to the
PC DVH
connector on the television.
The television can then be used as your PC monitor when
PC
is pressed
on the remote control.
To play the PC sound through the television you will need to obtain a cable
that is compatible with your PC’s audio output and has red and white RCA
plugs on the other end to connect to the red and white
PC AUDIO IN
RCA
sockets on the television.
Other connections
There are two further sets of inputs that that are available for use by a
digital camera for example. These are CVBS and S-Video.
Composite Video Broadcast Signal, CVBS, uses RCA connectors. The
composite video signal is connected to the yellow
CVBS
socket and the
audio left and right signal to the
CVBS AUDIO IN
white and red sockets.
The CVBS signal will appear when CVBS is selected by pressing the
VIDEO
button on the remote control.
S-Video has separate luminance (Y) and composite chrominance (C)
components. It connects to the
S-VIDEO
5-pin DIN connector and the
audio left and right signals connect to the
S-VIDEO AUDIO IN
white and
red RCA sockets. The S-Video signal will appear when YC is selected by
pressing the
VIDEO
button on the remote control.
Audio output
Instead of using the television’s speakers you can connect an audio
decoder. Connect the
OUT LINE
RCA red and white connectors to the
audio decoder audio right and audio left inputs.
