Cleaning and Maintenance
Before cleaning, switch off the kettle, unplug from power socket and allow it to
cool completely.
Clean the exterior surface of the kettle with a damp cloth and then polish with a soft
dry cloth. Do not use steel wool pads or harsh/abrasive cleaners.
Cleaning the Filter
• Open the lid and remove the filter from behind the spout.
• Rinse the filter under a tap whilst brushing it with a soft brush.
• In hard water areas it may be necessary to descale the filter using a descaling
agent. Descale your kettle regularly to keep it working efficiently. Use a proprietary
descaling product following the manufacturer’s instructions carefully.
• Never operate the kettle without the filter fitted.
Removal of mineral deposits
Mineral deposits in tap water may cause the kettle interior to discolour. To remove this
build-up, use liquid descaler, a simple to use non-toxic cleaner.
Alternatively:
• Fill the kettle with 3 cups of White Vinegar and top up with water and leave
overnight. Do not boil.
• Empty the solution from the kettle. Any stains remaining inside the spout can be
removed by rubbing with a damp cloth, fill the kettle with clean water, bring to boil
and then discard the water. Repeat and the kettle will then be ready to use.
