TEMPERATURE CONTROL KNOB
The control knob adjusts the power to the heat element.
Operating Instructions
Apples used to make candy apples must be dry and room temperature for candy to stick
properly.
1.
Mix two packages of Gold Medal Reddy Apple Mix (Item No. 4146) and 12 ounces of
water into the apple cooker pot. Stir the mix until it is completely saturated with
water.
Candy apples may also be made using Gold Medal APPL–EZ; follow instructions on
the bag.
2.
Turn the Control Knob to the HI setting.
3.
Insert a Gold Medal Thermometer (Item No. 4300) into the mixture.
4.
Stir the mixture occasionally until the mix begins to boil rapidly. Once the candy boils
rapidly no mixing will be necessary until candy reaches 300
°
F.
CAUTION:
Candy mixture is HOT; avoid contact with skin.
5.
While the mixture is cooking, insert a Gold Medal Candy Apple Stick into the top of
each apple (apples must be dry and room temperature).
6.
When the mixture reaches 300
°
F (approximately 20 minutes), then turn the unit OFF.
