Balancing game three dwarves
Look how much the dwarves can carry! With some skilful stacking you can help
the little dwarves to carry the heavy gaming pieces.
The Three Dwarves game is a balancing game for two players.

Object of the game
The object of the game is to stack all the objects, one after the other, on the balancing
board and to carry the board along with all the gaming pieces intact.
The player who succeeds in carrying the balancing board along
without a piece falling off is the winner.
Preparation
You need space and an even surface to play the
game. Place the balancing board on the heads of
two of the three dwarves. The third dwarf is
positioning one balancing board length away, as
shown in the illustration.
The rules
The coloured die determines the order of the gaming
pieces to be stacked. If you throw the colour „blue“ you must place a blue piece on the balan-
cing board. The shade of the blue gaming piece makes no difference. The pieces comes in
„light blue“ and „dark blue“, but they are represented uniformly on the die by the blue dot.
And now you can start playing! The youngest player may begin by placing a gaming piece of
the colour thrown on the balancing board.
Then you take the balancing board and carry it along by a board‘s length and place it on the
third dwarf. The free dwarf is also moved along accordingly. Your opponent can then also
carry the board along after he or she has placed a gaming piece of the colour thrown on it.
When placing the pieces you must, of course, make sure that they do not become unstable.
Each time, the board is moved along once more with all the gaming pieces on top. None of
the pieces must fall off.
If you always manage to move the board in this way without a piece falling off, then you
have won the game.
Game variant
Now it gets more difficult, because the balancing board is carried by only one dwarf who is
placed under the middle of the board. As the board now rests on only one point, it becomes
much more difficult to keep the balance when further pieces are added. If it does work, the
balancing board is then carried to one of the other dwarves.
