2.3 ASSEMBLY INFORMATION
Important safety instructions!
The ventilation slots on the rear wall of the device must always remain free. Please
do not place any newspapers or doilies or other textiles on or over the TV set. There
must be at least 2 cm free space at the side and top for the air to circulate. If a device
is installed or mounted in a cabinet or shelf, it must always be ensured here too that
sufficient air circulation is possible. Like any electronic device, the product needs air
for cooling when in operation. If air circulation is hindered, this may lead to fires or
the device automatically switching off (safety switch-off function).
• Protect the device from dusty conditions.
• If the TV set is mounted on the wall, it must not be hung from the power and signal
cables on the back of the TV set. Otherwise, there is a risk of fire or electric shock.
• Make sure that children do not hang or climb onto the TV set. This could result in
the device falling down, which may cause serious injuries.
• When mounting the TV set on the wall, attach a VESA standard wall mount (op-
tional) to the back of the set. If you would like to mount the TV set with an optional
wall mount, make sure to attach it carefully to prevent it from falling down.
• Do not place the product on unstable shelves or inclined surfaces. Also avoid plac-
ing it on surfaces that vibrate or where the product is not held securely. Otherwise,
the device may fall down, with the potential to cause injuries and damage to the
device.
• The device should not protrude at the front when being placed in or on furniture in
particular.
• Follow the installation instructions below to prevent the device from overheating:
- There must be a distance of at least 5 cm between the device and wall.
- Only mount the device in locations with sufficient ventilation!
- Do not place it on cushions or carpets!
- Make sure that the ventilation slots are not covered by a tablecloth or curtain.
• Do not touch the ventilation openings when the TV set is on for prolonged periods
as they may get hot.
