magicGNSS User Terminal Manual
and can be retrieved by the user through a USB connection. In order to generate the KML file, export
button is to be pressed, and the process begins (this action may take several minutes depending on the
session size).
When editing the session information, the user will be able to rename the session from the default name
based on date and time of the recording and also check the list of markers recorded and manage them.
Markers can be renamed, removed or upgraded to quick-start markers.
In order to delete a certain session, keep touching the session until its colour changes to red, and then
just touch the trash icon in the Top Bar.
QuickStart Markers
The quickstart (QS) markers are calibrated landmark places (centimetre-level accuracy) which can be
used by the user to speed-up the convergence process of the PPP engine.
A QS marker can be created while running the PPP (with the possibility of using current position), or
while stopped by upgrading a simple marker from a session previously recorded or by introducing the
latitude/longitude/height parameters.
In order to delete a certain QS marker, keep touching the marker name until its colour changes to red,
and then just touch the trash icon in the menu bar.
They can be accessed from the Recorded Sessions menu, choosing the session in which the marker was
created and selecting from the available markers drop-down list.
When a new PPP execution is started, the user is asked to select between both options: a cold-start run
or warm-start using one of the a-priori known positions.
Quickstart markers are really useful when the user typically starts working from the same location, since
it will reduce the convergence period from several minutes to a few seconds.
