Power loss or sudden engine

Refill fuel tank
Water in the fuel
Drain the fuel system and flush with petrol

Clean air filter or replace if necessary
Engine will not start
Engine Switch (1) switched off
Switch on Engine Switch
Fuel Shut-Off Valve (17) closed
Open the Fuel Shut-Off Valve
Fuel lines clogged
Clean fuel lines and flush with new petrol
Fuel tank empty
Refill fuel tank
Spark plug defective or wrongly gapped
Refer to ‘Maintaining the spark plug’ and replace spark plug if necessary
Electrical appliances are connected to the receptacles
Unplug all appliances when starting the generator
Low engine oil level; low-oil sensor prevents engine from starting
Check oil level and refill; investigate potential oil leaks
Engine difficult to start
Air filter dirty or clogged
Refer to ‘Maintaining the air filter’
Fuel contaminated or impurities in fuel system
Refer to ‘Cleaning the sediment cup / draining the fuel system’
Vent inside the Fuel Cap (21) clogged
Clean Fuel Cap
Deposits on the spark plug electrodes
Refer to ‘Maintaining the spark plug’
Incorrect use of Choke Lever (13)
Use Choke Lever only if engine is cold
Carburettor or choke mechanism damaged
Contact your authorised GMC service centre to arrange repair
Insufficient amount of engine oil
Check oil level and refill if necessary
No current from the receptacles
Circuit Breaker (7) switched off
Toggle Circuit Breaker to the ‘ON’ position
Voltage Selector Switch (4) toggled to incorrect voltage
