Use less pressure whilst using the tool. This will also help reduce wear

Vacuum dust extraction system not used in workplace
Fit a dust extraction system
Cleaning frequency inadequate
Clean workplace and tool more frequently
Tool hot to the touch
Work session too long
Allow tool to cool before continuing
Motor Vents (6) blocked
Vacuum out Motor Vents and allow tool to cool before continuing
Work surface excessively hot
