When you are cooking keep
children away from the vicinity
of the oven.
The top oven can be used generally,
in the same way as the main oven,
to cook the full range of dishes, but it
is a
SECONDARY
oven and there are
some differences.
Top oven ignition
Turn the
Top Oven / Grill
control knob
anticlockwise to the required gas
mark.
There is a short delay before ignition
(up to 10 seconds) as the cooling fan
builds up pressure.
The top oven burner will not come on
unless the oven door is closed.
To turn off, return the control knob to
the “off” position. Please ensure that
the oven is fully switched off when not
in use.
Notes:
As part of the cooking process, hot air
is expelled through a vent at the top of
the oven(s). When opening the oven
door, care should be taken to avoid
any possible contact with potentially hot
air, since this may cause discomfort to
people with sensitive skin. We recommend
that you hold the underneath of the
oven door handle.
Warning:
Do not use the oven(s) if
the fan is not working.
