Application
The FRED_8.2 app can be downloaded from
https://valerytech.net/
in .APK format and be
installed directly (the appliance only uses the Bluetooth low energy version and no other de-
vice or sensor). Do not forget to allow installation in your phone even if it is not Google certi-
fied.
Upon startup, the app displays the company logo
and an image of FRED 8, with a line of text that ex-
plains being automatically searching for the device to
be combined with (screenshots on the right).
Should the application not find the appliance to be
combined with, a message would appear on screen
to point out the situation followed by a goodbye
message (screenshots below).
We remind
you that the
application
must be closed to try to get connected and then
launched again. After switching FRED 8.2 on, be-
fore getting connected, a few seconds should elapse
while the card carries out the preliminary operations
required.
While starting up, the card displays a light sequence
through the multicolor led at the bottom rear of the
device. The three colors (blue, green and red) flash one at a time with a 500
ms dark interval.
When the application detects the right device to connect to (automatically),
the first line of the display will read a number (“1” in the example on the right).
This is the code chosen from a list of Bluetooth devices found during the pre-
vious research step.
After a short while, the phone will display the page for FRED 8 setup. As al-
ready mentioned, after connecting with the phone, the appliance becomes
live. Therefore by pressing the lever on the spraying nozzle the pump will be
activated (and, of course, the liquid in the tank, if any, will be sprayed).
