low/high frequency alternation. Pat t he diaphragm with fingers to remove excess talc.
2. Insert the flexible edge of the diaphragm into the groove of the rim. This is best accom-
plished by starting with the rim positioned above the legible side of diaphragm.
3. Visually examine the ring to ensure that the flexible edge ls smoothly engaged inside the
rim. If necessary, flex the assembly by pinching the outer rim edge between the thumb and
fingers. Repeat this flexing procedure after rotating the assembly one quarter.
4. To attach the diaphragm assembly to the chestpiece, engage the groove of the rim [with
the diaphragm attached) around the chestpiece at one point and hold it in place with your
thumbs.
5. Slowly roll the rim around and over the chestpiece edge using both thumbs, moving in oppo-
site directions around the chestpiece.
6. Visually inspect the edge where the diaphragm engages the rim for uniform containment.
Minor adjustments may be made by slightly pulling and rolling the rim away from the dia-
phragm, allowing the diaphragm to slip into position.

Cleaning
In order to avoid dirt accumulation, always store the stethoscope in its packaging. The outside
of the instrument can be cleaned with a damp, soft and fluff-free fabric. For disinfection, the
stethoscope can be cleaned with a fabric moistened with alcohol.
Do not use thermal sterilization or soaking.
Warning
Never bring the stethoscope into liquid and make sure that no liquid penetrates the housing!
Since the stethoscope is not designed for operations, simple cleaning and/or disinfection with
a surface disinfectant with an alcoholic base is sufficient. Eartips can be removed from the
eartubes for thorough cleaning.
Avoid extreme heat, cold, solvents and oils.
Packaging and storage
A robust vibration-proof packaging can prevent the product from compacting outside.
No special storage requirements.
