Web configurator – configuring the phone on a PC
The Web configurator provides you with a user interface that you can use to operate and
configure your Gigaset DE310 IP PRO on the PC. The setup assistant makes it easier for you
to set your device up for the first time.
Prerequisite:
Your phone is connected to the local network.
In most cases, this connection is established automatically as soon as you connect the
device with a network cable (

). If this is not the case, you establish the connec-
tion to the local network via the display menu when you set the device up for the first time
(
£
page 18
).
Starting the Web configurator
You will need the IP address for your phone. You will find this via the phone’s display
menu, in the LAN settings:

Accessing the Web configurator:

Launch the Internet browser on your PC.
¤
Enter the IP address in the browser's address field:
Example:
The login screen appears.
¤
Select the appropriate language.
¤
Select the desired user type and enter the corresponding password:

Click on
OK
.
The Web configurator will now start.
Please note
The Web configurator supports the following browsers:
– Mozilla Firefox, version 3.6 or higher
– Internet Explorer, version 7 or higher
– Apple Safari, version 5 or higher
Please note
The IP address can sometimes change, depending on the settings of the DHCP server
in your network.
