Repeater function (WDS)
Only Repeater Operating Mode
If you use the device in Repeater Operating Mode and want to increase the range in your
wireless network, you must configure the Wireless Distribution System (WDS) function.

In the
Wireless Network
menu, select
Repeater (WDS)
.
The name of the access point is shown in the
Comment
field.
If there is a connection, the MAC address of the access point is shown in the
MAC
address
field.
If there is a connection to the access point, the SSID is shown in the
SSID
field
The radio channel used for data transfer is shown in the
Channel
field.
If there is a connection to the access point, the
Signal strength
shows the strength of
the connection to the repeater in percentage terms.

Click on
Refresh
to update the display.
ì
Click on
Add
to add an entry.
ì
Click on
Delete
to delete an entry.
ì
Apply the settings by clicking
OK
.
Note:
If you have encrypted the data with one of the WPA standards, you can only select
one access point. More than one access point is only possible with WEP encryption
(page 58).
