1. Have a charged battery ready to install.
2. Shutdown your notebook computer and disconnect the AC 

adapter.

3. Slide the battery release latches while pulling the battery from 

the bay. 

4. Remove the battery from the bay.

5. Slide the new battery into the bay. The pins will automatically 

align with the connector.

6. Press the battery in until the battery release latches snap into 

place.

7. Plug in the AC adapter and press the resume/suspend/power on 

button.

• Be sure to save your data before replacing the battery pack or 
connecting the AC adapter. Failure to do so can result in data loss.
• Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace 
only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manu-
facturer. Dispose of used batteries according to the manufacturer’s 
instructions.
• If the Lithium-Ion battery connector is not fully seated, you may 
not be able to use your notebook computer or charge your battery.

►Maintenance of the AC Adapter◄
• Do not connect the adapter to any other device.
• Do not step on the power cord or place heavy objects on top of it. 

Carefully route the power cord and any cables away from all po-
tential traffi c.

• When unplugging the power cord, do not pull on the cord itself but 

pull on the plug.

• The total ampere rating of the equipment plugged in should not 

exceed the ampere rating of the cord if you are using an exten-
sion cord. The total rating of all equipment plugged into a single 
wall outlet should not exceed the fuse rating.

• Make sure the voltage of the power source before connecting 

your notebook computer to the power outlet. If you are uncertain 
of your power specifi cations, consult local dealer or Electricity 
Company.
