WARNINGS

Dear Customer, thank you for purchasing a GIBIDI product. In this sheet you will find important information concerning the use of this device and safety
instructions for installation. Please follow these instructions carefully and keep them safely for consultation at anytime. The RUNNER M motors with
mechanical limit switches are suited for use with blinds, sunshades and other similar items, any other use is considered improper and is therefore
forbidden. The technical specifications of the motor are given on the identification plate affixed to the motor.

SAFETY NOTES :

• This device must be installed by a qualified technician in order to assure the respect of all regula-

tions and laws in force in the territory.

• Make sure that the package is intact and that it has not been damaged during transportation.

• The motor must be of an appropriate power for the

applied load. In this sense, the installer should refer to the tables shown in the GIBIDI catalogue.

• Check that the winder roller is perfectly perpendicular

to the blind in order to eliminate any unwanted friction or the risk of blocking the movement.

• Use winder rollers with a thickness of 1O/1O.

• Make sure that the drive pulley and the adaptor rim are of a shape and size that is appropriate to

the internal diameter of the winder roller. Adaptor, supports end all other accessories required for

the motor must be chosen exclusively from those included in the GIBIDI catalogue.

• Any violent knock, such as dropping the motor on the ground [Fig. 02) or the use of inappropriate

tools [Fig. 03) may cause damage to the internal or external components of the motor.

• Do not drill the motor for any reason whatsoever(Fig. 04).

• Any screws used to fix the winder roller must not for any reason touch the motor [Fig. 05).

•Far "mechanical limit switch" motors, it is forbidden to use safety bolts or any other mechanisms

that may obstacle the motor movement [Fig. 06)

• lt is forbidden and dangerous to tamper with the motor or the power cable.

• The power cable must be fixed carefully in order to avoid collision with any moving parts.

• Before starting the motor, make sure that no persons or objects are within the radius of operation

of the motor.

• The motor is fitted with an automatically resetting thermal cut-out device which stops the motor in

the event of overheating. lf this device cuts in, wait  for 4/5 minutes until the motor has cooled

down and then automatically starts normal operation once more.

WIRING:

• This product is powered by a dangerous electrical voltage. Carry out all wiring operations with the

power switched off.

• The control device

must be fitted with e mechanical interlock device, to avoid both motor winders being powered at the

same time.

• If the motor is connected externally, the power cable should be covered with an appropriate

protective pipe.

• Connect the earth cable (yellow/ green). • The blue cable is the general motor cable, and the

brown and black govern the raising/lowering manoeu

vres.

• Do not connect two or more control devices to the same motor [Fig. 08). • Do not connect the

same control device to two or more motors [Fig.

09).

• The control device is connected to the main power supply and must therefore be suitably insulated

and protected.

• To change the motor direction, invert the brown and black wires.

• The installer must install a sectioning device (with minimum contact opening) 3mm)

upstream from the system.

MOTOR COMPOSITION

(see Fig. 01) :

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

(see Fig. 01) :

• Insert the adaptor rim

 (5)

onto the limit switch base rim

(7)

making sure that the two reference

slots

(15 and 16)

 line up.

• Insert the drive pulley

(2)

on the outlet pinion

(3)

.

• Having inserted the drive pulley onto the outlet pinion, lock the pieces into place with the clip

(1]

• Slide

 • Insert the metal plate

(1O)

 onto the control panel pin

(9)

 andfix

into place with the two closing screws

(11)

• lnsert the motor

(4)

 onto the winder roller

(19)

making sure that the drive pulley channel

(17)

lines up with the winder roller channel

(18)

.

• Push the motor so that the adaptor rim

(5)

slots into the winder roller

[19)

.

• Proceed with the electric wiring and adjust the limit switch.

ADJUSTING THE LIMIT SWITCH :

• The limit switch system is electro-mechanical. Micro-switches are used to stop the motor power when the
blind r sunshade reaches the maximum open or closed position.
• The limit switch system is pre-set at the factory to approximately 5 revs of the base rim .
• To adjust the open or closed limit switch, turn the 2 adjusting screws on the motor head using the plastic
adjuster supplied [Fig. 11].
• Switch on the motor and check the rotational direction of the drive pulley, adjust the adjusting screw with the
arrow pointing in the direction of the motor rotational direction [Fig. 1O).
• Turn the adjusting screw towards " - " to decrease the motor run, and in the opposite direction to increase it
[Fig. 11].
• Invert the rotational direction of the motor and turn the second adjusting screw in the same way.
