2.2  NETWORKING YOUR RFID SYSTEM

     Wiegand controller (i.e. MWGD46)

2.3  OPERATING YOUR RFID SYSTEM

If – for example – your application is a Vehicle tracking management system, you may refer to the
following steps for the vehicle tracking.

1.  Each car owners/drivers will be equipped with a 2.45 GHz active RFID tags: the tag IDs are

the globally unique ones, which associate the names and relevant information such as
vehicle type, user’s name, department, etc., into the server computer.

2.  Since the power supply is +8V ~ +20V, please use an appropriate adaptor as a power source.

After following the right instruction in network connection of the 2.45 GHz RFID Readers
in a certain area, the readers automatically receive the information sending from the active
tags held by the car owner, then send the information to the Wiegand controller and wait for
the inquiry from the controller.

3.  The server computer will combine the information read from the antennas and the

information from the active tag to operate the relevant devices such as raising the bar
automatically.

2.4  MANTAINING YOUR RFID SYSTEM

For a correct use of your RFID antenna, please, refer to the following tips.

1.  Do not sabotage the 2.45 GHz active tag by beating or using strong impact on it.
2.  Do not disassemble the tag by your own, other than for the battery replacement.
3.  The 2.45 GHz tag can be fixed behind the windshield of the vehicle: in general do not fix

the tag in a dangerous position, such as close to the engine, etc.

4.  Do not use the tag without its waterproof protection, since this prevent from moisture.
5.  Do not remove the already fixed 2.45 GHz reader in a certain position unless it is

malfunctioned, otherwise the stability of the whole system will be affected.
