In buying this item you have opted for a high-
quality GEV product. Please read these user
instructions carefully to ensure the device is used
correctly. Keep them in a safe place for future
reference. Use this product only as intended (as
set out in the user instructions). Any changes or
modifi cations to the product or painting it will
result in loss of warranty.
Safety instructions
This device must be installed by a technician
in accordance with the applicable
regulations. The electrical power supply
and circuit protection must be switched off
during the entire installation process. Please check
that the connection cable is disconnected! Under
no circumstances does the warranty cover damage
resulting from failure to observe these instructions.
We do not accept liability for any indirect damage.
Similarly, we can accept no liability for any material
damage or bodily injury caused by mishandling or
failure to observe the safety instructions. In these
cases, no warranty claim may be made. In addition,
for safety and compliance reasons, you are not
authorised to dismantle or alter the device in any
way.
Installation
If in any doubt, rather than mounting, connecting or
installing the equipment yourself, contact a qualifi ed
technician.
The outdoor unit is designed for surface mounting.
When deciding where to install the unit, ensure,
where possible, that it cannot be directly aff ected by
environmental factors such as rain, and avoid direct
glare from backlighting. Refer to the information
about the optimal camera position and alignment
(Fig. H)
.
Carefully open the cover on the outdoor device
(Fig. G1)
using a 3 mm screwdriver, and loosen the
screw
(Fig. G2)
. The screw cannot be completely
removed as it is secured against falling out. Pull the
underside of the device forwards

Install the surface-mount housing according to
Fig. G4
.
Align the camera by adjusting the guide pin
(Fig. B7)
After you have successfully connected the device,
fi rst fi t the top of the device into the surface-mount
housing

. The two device guides should
slot into the corresponding notches on the surface-
mount housing. Then press the bottom of the device
into the service-mount housing until it fi ts fl ush
against the edge on all sides

Connecting the outdoor unit
For the outdoor unit power supply we recommend
that you use the GEV system mains transformer
CNV 7505. If using an existing bell transformer,
please observe the approved voltage range of
8 V
-
16 V, 50 Hz, as the product will otherwise be
damaged. Connect the power supply to the screw
connectors
(Fig. B10)
. 6 AA batteries (1.5 V lithium
or alcaline) can be used as an alternative power
supply. Protect the environment - use the GEV
system mains transformer.
Connecting the mobile indoor unit with
screen
Open the battery compartment
(Fig. A17)
and
insert the battery. Connect the battery connector
(Fig. F1)
to the power supply connector
(Fig.
A20)
. If the battery is fully charged, the GEV logo
will briefl y appear on the screen. Close the battery
compartment.
Connecting the charger
Connect the power pack connector
(Fig. E1)
to the power supply connector
(Fig. C2)
and plug the power pack into a socket.
Feed the power pack cable through the cable
release slot
(Fig. C3)

Activation
Before operating the device, the mobile indoor unit
must be charged for approx. 8 hours in the charger
(Fig. C)
, the end call button lights up red
(Fig. A7)
.
The mobile indoor device and outdoor device are
programmed to one another by default and can
be used immediately after pressing the doorbell
(Fig. B5)
. If this is not the case, e.g. a component
has been replaced, briefl y press the programming
button
(Fig. B8)
on the outdoor device. The
programming LED fl ashes for 30 seconds
(Fig. B6)
.
Briefl y press the programming button
(Fig. A19)
on the mobile indoor device during this time. The
programming LED goes out and 5 short beeps are
emitted.
The GEV wireless video door intercom system is
ready for operation.
General settings
Date/time:
Press and hold the replay button

centre of the screen. Press the up/down button to
change the coloured values

change the coloured values

Deleting the image memory:

approx. 5 seconds. "No Images" will be displayed
on the screen.
Use
In principle, the mobile indoor device switches to
power save mode if no buttons are pressed for
approx. 10 seconds. The screen is dark and no
buttons light up.
If the doorbell
(Fig. B5)
is pressed, the mobile
indoor device emits an audible signal at the preset
volume level. The talk and end call buttons fl ash and
a moving camera image from the outdoor device
will be displayed on the screen
(Fig. A1)
for approx.
10 seconds. There is no intercom connection. The
preset number of camera images are automatically
stored. After that a frozen camera image will be
displayed for approx. 150 seconds.
You have the following possibilities:
1.
Intercom connection for approx. 60 seconds
by pressing the talk button
(Fig. A6)
. The talk
and end call buttons light up during the intercom
connection. After approx. 60 seconds the intercom
connection will automatically disconnect.
2.
Refuse the call by pressing the end call button
(Fig. A7)
. The camera image disappears and after
10 seconds, the mobile indoor device switches to
power save mode. The talk and end call button
lighting also goes out.
3.
If no button is pressed, the mobile indoor
device will switch to power save mode for approx.
160 seconds after the doorbell has been pressed.
The replay button
(Fig. A10)
fl ashes after the indoor
device has switched back to power save mode,
indicating that new images are being stored.
Replaying stored images
Press the replay button
(Fig. A10)
. The end call
button stops fl ashing and the last stored image is
displayed on the screen. Press the up/down button
several times

to browse through the
stored images.
Monitoring the outdoor area
You can monitor the outdoor area for approx.
60 seconds by pressing the monitoring button
(Fig. A11)
. The talk and end call buttons fl ash
and a moving camera image of the outdoor area
is displayed on the screen. One-way intercom
connection exists (from outdoors to indoors). If
necessary, press the talk button

to enable
two-way intercom connection. After approx. 60
seconds, monitoring fi nishes automatically and the
mobile indoor unit switches to power save mode.
