3. Press MIN / MAX button again.
The display will turn off the MIN / MAX indicator. The device does not store any
measured values and is in standard measuring mode.
5.3 Fixing the measured data
1. Press the HOLD button once as soon as you want to fix a reading.
The display shows displays HOLD. The device saves the current measured value
in the display until you press the HOLD button again. During this time, no measure-
ment takes place.
2. Press the HOLD button again to stop fixing a reading.
5.4 Backlight
1. Briefly press the on / off switch once to turn on the backlight.
2. Briefly press the on / off switch again to turn off the backlight.
5.5 Device calibration
1. Use a standard sound source with 94 dB at 1 kHz.
2. Carefully insert the microphone head into a 1/2 inch hole of the standard sound
source (94 dB at 1 kHz);
3. Turn on the main power switch of the standard sound source.
4. Use a screwdriver to adjust the potentiometer on the rear panel.
5. Adjust until the LCD dislay shows 94 dB.
The device is calibrated and adjusted.
The recommended calibration interval is 1 year.
6 Maintenance, care, storage and transport
Material damage
► Use only a dry and soft cloth for cleaning.
► Do not use detergents and chemicals.
► When not in use, store the product in a cool, dry place, away
from dust and out of the reach of children.
► Remove the batteries when not in use for longer time.
► Pick up the original packaging for transport.
► Check the product regularly for function.
► Calibrate the device once a year.
