3 Intended use
We do not permit using the device in other ways like described in chapter
“Description and function“ and „Safety instructions“. Not attending to these regulati-
ons and safety instructions might cause fatal accidents, injuries, and damages to persons
and property.
4 Inserting batteries, changing batteries
Battery hazards
Batteries are not included.
► Remove spilled, deformed or corroded cells from the product
and dispose them with suitable protective devices.
Replace the batteries when the battery status is displayed.
1. Open the battery compartment by unclipping the cover on the devices back.
2. Insert 3 AAA / Mignon batteries in the indicated polarity or replace the empty
ones with new ones.
3. Close the battery compartment again.
5 Operation
Hearing damage
Permanent high noise levels can permanently damage your hearing.
► Do not turn music too loud.
► Only expose yourself to constant noise with suitable hearing
protection.
5.1 Switching on and off
1. Press the on / off switch to turn on for about 2 seconds.
After the short startup, the device goes straight into the measuring mode.
After approx. 10 minutes measuring operation without operation, the device
switches off automatically.
2. Press the on / off switch for about 2 seconds to turn it off.
5.2 Measure minimum and maximum levels
1. Press the MIN / MAX button once.
The MIN display appears in the display. The device stores the smallest measured
value during the measurement process.
2. Press the MIN / MAX button again.
The display will show the MAX display. The device stores the highest value mea-
sured during the measurement process.
