IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 

 

This heater should be installed by a competent person (i.e. a qualified electrician) in accordance with 
the current edition of the IEE wiring regulations (BS 7671) and appropriate statutory regulations. 
 
IF IN DOUBT CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN 
 

 

This heater has a 2kW maximum rating and is designed for permanent high level wall mounting at a 
minimum height of 1800mm above the room floor. 
 
Before installing the heater check that the supply voltage of the installation matches the voltage 
marked on the heater. This heater is suitable for use at 230 – 240V 50Hz supply voltages. 
 

Safety Warnings 

 

• 

Do not use or install heater outdoors 

• 

Do not install the heater directly above or below a fixed socket outlet 

• 

Do not cover or obstruct heater grilles as this may cause overheating or fire 

• 

Do not use the heater to dry clothes 

• 

Do not touch the heater with wet hands 

• 

Do not use the heater if it has been dropped or damaged in any way 

• 

Do not allow any objects to be inserted in to the heater inlet or outlet grilles 

• 

Do not allow young children, the aged or infirm to use the heater without supervision  

• 

If the heater supply cord becomes damaged it must be replaced by a qualified person or 
service engineer 

• 

In the event of a fault occurring do not attempt to repair the heater. This must only be carried 
out by a qualified person or service engineer 

• 

There are no user serviceable parts supplied with the heater 

 

INSTALLATION 

 

Electrical Connection 

 

BEFORE COMMENCING ANY INSTALLATION WORK OR MAINTENANCE ALWAYS ENSURE 
THAT THE ELECTRICAL SUPPLY IS SWITCHED OFF  
 
For additional safety, remove the fuse or switch off the circuit breaker for the relevant supply circuit at 
the main fuse box or consumer unit. 
 
Ensure that no one else has access that would enable the supply to be inadvertently reconnected. 
 
The supply circuit used for connection of the heater must be appropriate for the rating of the heater 
and must be protected with a 13A fuse 
 
DO NOT CONNECT THE HEATER TO A LIGHTING SUPPLY CIRCUIT 

 

Wiring 

 

The power supply cord fitted to the heater is coloured as follows: 
 
BROWN: LIVE 
BLUE:  

NEUTRAL 

 
THIS HEATER IS DOUBLE INSULATED AND DOES NOT REQUIRE AN EARTH CONNECTION
