BEFORE USING YOUR GRIDDLE

•  Before using your griddle for the first time, remove all packing material and any stickers.
•  Wash all removable parts as instructed in the “Care and Cleaning” section of this manual.
•  Wipe cooking surface with a damp cloth or sponge to remove any dust.
•  Wipe dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.
•  Place on a flat, level, heat resistant surface, leaving enough space around all

sides of the griddle to allow heat to flow without damage to cabinets and walls.

•  Slide the drip tray into the griddle base.

CONDITIONING THE NON-STICK COOKING SURFACE

Conditioning the cooking surface will help prolong the life of the non-stick coating.

•  Wipe the cooking surface lightly with cooking oil; remove any excess with a dry

paper towel.

•  Plug the griddle into a power outlet and turn the power on.
•  Set the temperature control dial to ‘130°C’ (medium heat) and allow the griddle to

heat for 5 minutes.

•  When finished, set temperature control dial to ‘min’, switch the power off and

allow to cool.

•  Wipe with a soft cloth or paper towel.

USING THE CLICK AND LOCK REMOVABLE TEMPERATURE CONTROL PROBE

This griddle comes with a removable temperature control probe that securely locks into

place.

•  To attach the probe, hold down the release button, and move the lock lever into

the vertical, unlocked position.

•  Slide the temperature control probe into the probe receptacle on the griddle.
•  To lock the thermostat, slide the lock lever down to the horizontal position, until it

clicks securely into place.

•  To remove the probe, hold the release button, and slide the lock lever into the

vertical, unlocked position. The probe can now be removed from the griddle.
