When the desired elevation is reached, the cutting tool is activated by connecting the 
pneumatic tube from the piezometer to a bottle of CO

2.

 can be obtained locally from 

any welding supply outlet.) The CO

bottle should have a pressure regulator that is set to 

a pressure of at least 2.5 MPa (350 psi), with the shutoff valve closed (Figure 12).
