LASER TARGETING
The laser dots for targeting can be activated or deactivated if required. Power on the instrument and
press button 1. The display shows the symbol „laser activated“.
BACKLIGHT ILLUMINATION
Power on the instrument and press button 1 for the display illumination.
The switching operations for activation of the laser dots for targeting and for the display illumination are
successive.
SET MEASURING UNITS (°C / °F)
When the instrument is powered on the measuring units can be switched from °C to °F with the
buttons UP and DOWN.
SET THE EMISSIVITY
· Pull the trigger to power on the instrument.
· Press the MODE button until the symbol for the emissivity flashes in the display.
· Press the buttons UP and DOWN to set the emissivity of the object to be measured (see the list on
page 18).
· Confirm the value set by pulling the trigger or select the next function by pressing the MODE button.
· When the instrument is powered off the emissivity value will remain.
PERMANENT MEASUREMENT
For long-term measurements the continuous measuring function can be powered on. Please proceed
as follows:
· Pull the trigger to power on the instrument.
· Press the MODE button until the symbol for continuous measurement flashes in the display.
· Press buttons the UP and DOWN to activate this function.
· Pull the trigger to start the long-term measurement. Now the temperature will be measurend conti-
nuously until the trigger is pulled again.
ALARM FUNCTION
For the execution of temperature checks high and low alarm values can be set independently from each
other. If the high or low value is exceeded a beep will sound.
