USB port (7) (if equipped with
enhanced display).
Used to load LMS
software, machine configuration, load tables and
operator access data ( not avaible with standard
display). For machines fitted with standard display,
a USB port is located under the dashboard,
behind the fuse-relay board.
Access Methods
There are three different ways to access the LMS
depending on LMS configuration:
No password
4- digit pin
iButton
No password
. In this access method,
operators are not required to login to operate the
telehandler. The attachment selection screen
appears on the display immediately after the LMS
boot up sequence is complete.
4-digit pin.
When a login is required to operate
the machine, user access levels and permissions
can be set within the LMS. For example, available
attachments can be enabled or disabled for
different users depending on their training,
experience and/or licensing status. In this case,
a login screen appears after LMS boot up which
prompts users to login before machine boom
functions will be enabled.
Login via iButton.
This access method
operates in the same way as the 4-digit pin,
except that an electronic tag in used to login into
the LMS. An iButton is a round shaped electronic
coded key which contains user information to
quickly access a machine. The optional iButton
reader is located on the right hand side of the
dashboard (Figure 3). The LMS automatically
logs user off when the iButton is removed from
the iButton reader and boom functions are
subsequently disabled.

Start Up
During telehandler start up, the LMS runs through
a series of self-tests. The display panel shows
information about the software version and
operating system. By default, the LMS shows the
attachment selection sreen after boot up (Figure4).
However, if the LMS is configured to require login
via a 4 digit code or iButton reader, a user login
screen appears after system start up (Figure5).
