Battery Maintenance
The battery should be regularly inspected per the
. Contact an IASD for assistance if
necessary.
Proceed as follows to inspect the battery:
1.
Press the OFF mode button to shut down the
generator, then lift the lid and remove the front
panel.
2.
Remove the 7.5 amp fuse from the control panel.
3.
Remove the intake side panel. (See

. Inspect the battery posts and
cables for tightness and corrosion. Tighten and
clean as necessary.

Unsealed batteries only: Disconnect the battery.
Check the battery fluid level and, if necessary, fill
with distilled water only. DO NOT use tap water.
Have an IASD or a qualified service technician
check the state of charge and condition.
6.
Connect the negative battery cable, then the
positive battery cable.
7.
Install the intake side panel, and install the 7.5 A
fuse.
8.
Install the front panel and close the generator lid.
9.
Place the generator in auto by pressing the AUTO
mode button on the controller.
Always recycle batteries in accordance with local laws
and regulations. Contact your local solid waste collection
site or recycling facility to obtain information on local
recycling processes. For more information on battery

Always disconnect negative battery cable
first to avoid spark. Failure to do so could
result in death or serious injury.
