CHAPTER 4
AMI BIOS SETUP
The setup program provided with the mainboard is the AMI BIOS from American
Megatrends Inc. Enter the AMI Setup program's Main Menu as follows:
1.
Turn on or reboot the system. After a series of diagnostic checks, the
following message appears:
"Hit <DEL> if you want to run SETUP"

Press the <DEL> key to enter the AMI BIOS setup program and the following
screen appears:
STANDARD CMOS SETUP
ADVANCED CMOS SETUP
ADVANCED CHIPSET SETUP
AUTO CONFIGURATION WITH BIOS DEFAULTS
AUTO CONFIGURATION WITH POWER-ON DEFAULTS
CHANGE PASSWORD
HARD DISK UTILITY
WRITE TO CMOS AND EXIT
DO NOT WRITE TO CMOS AND EXIT

Choose an option and press <Enter>. Modify the system parameters to reflect
the options installed in the system. (See the following sections for more
information).
4.
Press <ESC> at anytime to return to the Main Menu.
5.
In the Main Menu, choose "WRITE TO CMOS AND EXIT" to save changes
and reboot the system. Choosing "DO NOT WRITE TO CMOS AND EXIT"
ignores all changes and exists the program.

STANDARD CMOS SETUP
Run the Standard CMOS Setup as follows.
1.
Choose "STANDARD CMOS SETUP" from the Main Menu and a
screen with a list of items appears.
