9 Disassembly
NOTICE
Suitability of the product!
▶
The product must be appropriate for the piping system
operating conditions (medium, medium concentration,
temperature and pressure) and the prevailing ambient
conditions.
1. Check the technical data of the product and the materials.
2. Keep appropriate tools ready.
3. Use appropriate protective gear as specified in plant oper-
ator's guidelines.
4. Observe appropriate regulations for connections.
5. Have installation work carried out by trained personnel.
6. Shut off plant or plant component.
7. Secure the plant or plant component against recommis-
sioning.
8. Depressurize the plant or plant component.
9. Completely drain the plant or plant component and allow it
to cool down until the temperature is below the media va-
porization temperature and cannot cause scalding.
10. Correctly decontaminate, rinse and ventilate the plant or
plant component.
11. Lay piping so that the product is protected against trans-
verse and bending forces, and also from vibrations and
tension.
9.2 Disassembly
1. Loosen the end cap fixing screws
17
to remove the actu-
ator end caps
16
.
NOTICE
▶
The fixing screws of the end caps are designed with suffi-
cient length to absorb the spring tension.
2. Loosen the nuts
20
to remove the stop bolts
21
.
3. For normally closed actuators, turn the blow-out proof
shaft
02
anticlockwise to disengage the pistons
11
. For
normally open actuators, turn it clockwise. Remove the
piston from the cylinder.
4. Dismantle the position indicator, angle indicator, shaft
snap ring
09
and remove the shaft washer
08
from the
top.
5. Remove the blow-out proof shaft
02
from the lower part of
the actuator housing
01
. Remove the cam spacer ring
06
and the cam
05
through the inside of the body.
6. Clean all actuator parts.
7. Check all parts for wear.
8. Check the interior of the cylinder.
9. Before assembly, replace the O-rings, bushes and slip-in
guides included in the ALEDER maintenance kits.
10. Lubricate actuator parts with plus grease. Apply a thin
layer of grease to O-rings
03
,
07
and
12
.
