Service and Maintenance
The brake fluid level must be kept between
MAX and MIN marks.
The use of incorrect fluid may seri-
ously damage the components of the
brake hydraulic system. For example, the
components of the brake hydraulic system
may be damaged seriously just by adding a
few drops of the mineral oil (such as engine
oil), in such cases, they have to be
replaced. Therefore, do not add wrong fluid.
If the brake fluid is spilled on the painted
surfaces of the vehicle, it may cause dam-
age to the paint finish. Be careful not to
allow the brake fluid to be spilled on the
vehicle. If it is spilled on the vehicle, wash it
off immediately.

When to Check the Power Steering
Fluid
If your vehicle is equipped with a power
steering fluid reservoir, refer to "Engine
Compartment" in Section 7 "Service and
Maintenance" for its exact position. Check
the level of the power steering fluid every
week.
How to check the power steering fluid
The check should be performed before the
engine is started, when the system is cold
with the front wheels facing straight ahead.
