A double pedal (not included) may be used with
the DP-6. When using this type of pedal, the left-
hand pedal is the “soft” pedal (which decreases the
output volume when held down) and the right-
hand pedal acts as the normal sustain pedal.
VOICES
The piano has 16 different in-built voices. These
digitally sampled musical instrument sounds may
be selected one at a time, or layered to produce
two voices at once. To select a main voice, press the
appropriate voice select button on the right side
of the front panel. This will select the voice name
above the button.
Pressing the [BANK] button allows you to then
select the second set of voice names below the
voice buttons.
The data control wheel can also be used to select
the different voices.
TOUCH SENSITIVITY
The DP-6 has four levels of touch sensitivity,
allowing you to find the ideal level of key response
to suit your playing style.
Press the [TOUCH] button repeatedly to change
through the different options:
LOW: play the keys harder to produce the
maximum output.
NORMAL: standard strength is required to produce
maximum output.
HIGH: requires less strength to produce maximum
output.
FIXED: turns off the touch sensitivity, meaning the
same volume is produced regardless of how hard
or soft the keys are played.
METRONOME
The DP-6 has an in-built metronome, a great feature
for practising and a solid rhythm guide when
recording.
Press the [METRONOME] button to turn the
metronome on.
The tempo of the metronome will be shown on
the display (default speed 120bpm) and can be
adjusted as required using the data control wheel.
The tempo range is 20-280bpm.
The time signature of the metronome can also be
set. To do this press and hold the [METRONOME]
button until the display shows the default time
signature: 4:4. Release the button and then use the
data control wheel to select from the different time
signatures:
2/2, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/8, 7/8, 9/8, 12/8.
TRANSPOSE
The transpose function allows you to raise or lower
the pitch of the piano in semitone increments from
-12 to +12.
To turn on the transpose function, press the
[TRANSPOSE] button. The LED will display: 0.
The data control wheel can now be used to
select the desired transpose value.
