INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

PREPARE THE INSTALLATION LOCATION

Omit Step 1 if the hood will be installed under
cabinets with flush bottom.

1.

Attach a wood filler strip at each side of the
recessed area under the cabinets. Use two
2.5 cm x 5 cm (1

x 2

) strips cut to length. If

the recess is deeper than 2.5 cm (1

), use thicker

strips. Attach strips with 3.2 cm (1

1

4

) wood

screws, 7.6 cm (3

) from each end of the strip.

2.

Measure and mark the electrical wiring
opening in the wall or cabinet.

WARNING: When cutting or drilling into
the wall or a cabinet, be careful not to cut
existing electrical wiring.

3.

Use 3.2 cm (1

1

4

) bit to drill the opening for

the electrical wiring.

4.

Center the hood in the installation opening

and trace the keyhole slots onto the wood
filler strips on the cabinet bottom.

5.

Screw four #10 x 7/8 wood screws into the exact

center of the narrow end of the traced keyhole
slots. Allow 9 mm (3/8

) of the screws to project,

so that the hood can be fitted into place later.
