Step 1
Insert a glass chamber into
the Hand Compressor base.
Step 2
Dispense the sample into
the glass chamber taking
care not to overfill. The Mini-
UniPrep G2 glass chamber
has a maximum capacity of
500 μl indicated by a printed
“Fill Line” on the glass
chamber. Minimum sample
volume that may be added
to the glass chamber is
220 μl in order to collect
50 μl in the glass insert.
Step 3
Place a plunger into the
neck of the glass chamber.
Do not attempt to depress
the plunger further than the
neck of the glass chamber.
Step 4
Place the Hand Compressor
lid over the device such
that the recess on its inner
face fits over the septum
cap of the plunger and
the alignment guide is
orientated with the slot in
the base.
Step 5
Steady the Hand
Compressor base with one
hand on a flat surface whilst
using the other hand to
press down on the Hand
Compressor lid until the
plunger is fully depressed
into the chamber.

Safety Precaution
ALWAYS USE A MINI-UNIPREP G2 COMPRESSOR
DEVICE.
Do not attempt to compress the device by
hand; there is a risk of breakage of the glass
chamber which could result in personal injury if a
compressor is not used. Mini-UniPrep starter packs
contain 100 Mini-UniPrep G2 syringeless filters
and a Hand Compressor. If a Hand Compressor
is not available do not use the Mini-Uniprep G2
Syringeless filters until one has been obtained*.
Do not use any other device to compress the
Mini-UniPrep G2 filters including the six-position
compressor (catalogue no. CR0000006) designed
to be used with the original Mini-UniPrep filters.
Do not overfill the Mini-UniPrep G2 or compress
the device at an angle before the airtight seal is
made. Liquid could escape from the air vent holes,
resulting in the loss of sample or personal injury.
* A Hand Compressor (catalogue no. MUPG2PWC1)
is available to order separately.
