New Model Introduction
Introduction
This fall, GE introduced new energy-efficient 18
cubic foot bottom-freezer refrigerators – PDS18SBM
Profile stainless steel drawer model, PDS18LBM
Profile painted steel drawer model and GBS18KBM
GE door model.
The new refrigerators are more efficient than
previous model and meet or exceed the 2001
Federal Energy Guidelines. Significant differences
from the old models include: NeverClean™
condenser, more energy efficient compressor,
condenser fan and evaporator fan, new designed
handles (on Non-Stainless models) and rounded
doors. IM-4 icemaker optional and does not come
factory installed.

Installation Information
These refrigerators are designed for free-standing
installation. A 1" clearance is recommended at the
top and 1/2" at the rear. The floor or mounting sur-
face should be level and capable of supporting the
weight of the refrigerator when it is fully loaded.
Do not install the refrigerator where the temperature
will be below 55
°
F (13
°
C). At these temperatures the
refrigerator will not run often enough to maintain
proper temperatures.
