Three functions can be accessed while in the service
diagnostic mode:
1.
View Sensors—Allows viewing the T2, T3a, T3b,
T4 and T5 sensor temperatures.
2.
Heating Components Status—Permits turning
on/off the lower element, upper element or
compressor (1 at a time).
3.
View Faults and Counters—Allows viewing of all
fault codes and their recorded fault counts (0 –
10 counts).
Note:
•
Upon entering the diagnostic mode, all loads
shut off.
•
if the ambient temperature is outside the
normal operating range of T5 (45°F to 120°F), the
compressor will not start in diagnostic mode.
Heating elements can be energized.
•
The compressor minimum time-off (0 to 2
minutes) for the sealed system pressure to
equalize is not honored. Therefore, if the
compressor is energized and the sealed system
pressure has not equalized, the compressor will
attempt to run.
Once the service mode is entered, all heating loads
shut off and the first function VIEW SENSOR is
initiated with t2 in the display.
To obtain better diagnostic information from the
sensors, press the
MODE
button and energize a
heating load.
