Remove mirror 1 and put a black paper or black board at 3 meter away from mirror 1. When
on Fiber laser test, Fiber red beam will have 3 red dots. One of these 3 red dots is fiber beam.
Turn off Fiber red beam and fire fiber laser and check the black paper (3 meter away) and
see the location of this fiber laser dot. Then turn on fiber red beam again. Then can know
which red dot is fiber laser. Then fire CO2 laser beam on black paper. Then tune 1064nm
mirror (fiber mirror) to let fiber laser and CO2 laser firing on the same dot.
Then put back CO2 mirror 1 into prism mount and then follow the same steps on 5.3.2 Basic
Beam Alignment above. (From step 1 to step 4).
5.4 Setting tickle pulse on Spirit Series machines equipped with Synrad laser
sources.
By nature, Synrad laser sources require a tickle pulse to keep the laser ready for firing. The
tickle pulse signal required depends on the individual laser tube. The usual setting is at 5k,
however, it may be required to adjust the tickle pulse rate. If the laser is too weak, we can
set it to 7k and if the laser is bleeding, then we can set it to 3k.
Hold the “down arrow key” when turning on the machine until “Laser Tube Model Number”
shows on the display. Wait till the lens carriage comes to a stop. Press the Enter key to
get to the Model Number selection page. Select the corresponding laser tube model from
this page. Press F4 and then the Start/Stop key to save and restart the machine.
